THE REGENERATION OF TRAVEL

The Regeneration of Travel, a two-season program produced in partnership with The Washington Post Creative Group and Marriott Bonvoy, explores "regenerative travel"—the practice of planning trips that benefit local communities, economies, and the environment. Each story immerses readers in the personal journeys of travelers visiting underrepresented destinations and communities, highlighting how their experiences enrich both the places they visit and themselves. The series reached hundreds of thousands of readers, garnered dozens of social media shares, and achieved an average engagement time of nearly 3 minutes, surpassing benchmarks by 58%.

The second installment featured Navajo photographer Jaylyn Gough, who reconnects with her heritage in the sacred landscapes of New Mexico, using immersive formats like custom photography, video, 360-degree recordings, and interactive 3D models captured through photogrammetry.
