The Washington Post Creative Group collaborated with GEICO to produce two interactive articles aimed at challenging stereotypes within the gaming community. Featuring Jo Ann de Rosa, an 85-year-old gamer, and Ayanna and Alex, a gaming couple, these articles highlight the diverse faces of modern gaming.
Designed with a nostalgic nod to classic 8-bit pixel art, the interactive experience incorporates dynamic animations and vintage sound effects. As readers navigate through the content, they can engage with a multiple-choice quiz that tests their gaming knowledge, with their progress tracked by video game hearts/lives.
